My Ultimate Italian Bucketlist

Today’s the day! We’re finally off to Italy! So being the over-planner that I am, I’ve come up with a list of things that I want to see and do during our trip. Yey, I can’t wait to tick them all!   1. Marvel in the grandeur of the Colosseum 2. Say my prayers in St. Peter’s Basilica 3. Visit the Sistine Chapel and admire the Creation of Adam 4. Gush over the Pantheon 5. Make a wish at the Trevi 6. Climb the Spanish Steps 7. Get lost in the charming streets  ...

Where It All Started

Ever wondered how my love for travelling started? My first experience with traveling abroad was to Hong Kong with my family back in October 2011. Since then, I knew in my heart that it’s going to be a part of my life forever. For Kent and me, it was our first trip together too and my first time to bring around my first and only DSLR camera. So many firsts, right? Looking back, I’m glad to have captured some of the best moments of our trip.   May I present: HONG KONG, A  ...

15 Things to Do in Amsterdam

1. Be romantic. Find the The Fault in Our Stars Bench in Leidsegracht and pretend to be Gus and Hazel for the day. Don’t forget to take that awesome selfie to commemorate the moment.   2. Visit the Dam Square. The Dam Square is Amsterdam’s central square that plays a huge role in history because it is where the city was founded. Some important monuments can be also found nearby such as the Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis), New Church (Nieuwe Kerk) and the National Monument.  ...

Our plan was to tour the nearby district of Montmartre and our first stop was Sacre Coeur Basilica. It was a lovely morning and we didn’t want it to go to waste. So instead of taking the funicular railway towards the top of the  ...

DIY Paris: Tuileries, Île de la Cité, Arc de Triomphe

And the adventure continues. Here we go. DAY THREE 7 AM | We left the hotel early for some authentic french petit déjeuner. We chose a cafe called Terrasse Saint Lazare about one block from where we were staying and we both ordered their breakfast special. Kent had his traditional french omelet and I settled for some bread and chocolat chaud (hot chocolate). What I learned about typical french breakfasts is – you can never have too much bread in the morning! My, my! What a surprise it  ...

Hello Francophiles! I’m very excited to present you with the DIY Paris series and to share the five unforgettable days that we spent in this city. A Friendly Beginner’s Guide to Paris

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. – Elizabeth Barett Browning Ninety-nine percent of the random people I ask always included Paris in their bucketlists because, hey, what’s not to love about this romantic city? I finally ticked the City of Lights off my bucketlist last year with my husband, surprisingly on our own with a little help from the internet and Lonely Planet. How did we do it? Well, here’s a simple guide I’ve put together based on experience. Read  ...
