DIY Paris: Sacré-Coeur, Montmartre, Le Marais

Day four and five, coming up! DAY FOUR 7 AM | We started the day early, packed our bags and headed to our second hotel in the 10th Arrondissement so we could be closer to Gare du Nord station (since we were taking an early train to Brussels the following day). Our plan was to tour the nearby district of Montmartre and our first stop was Sacre Coeur Basilica. It was a lovely morning and we didn’t want it to go to waste. So instead of taking the funicular railway towards the top of the  ...

DIY Paris: Tuileries, Île de la Cité, Arc de Triomphe

And the adventure continues. Here we go. DAY THREE 7 AM | We left the hotel early for some authentic french petit déjeuner. We chose a cafe called Terrasse Saint Lazare about one block from where we were staying and we both ordered their breakfast special. Kent had his traditional french omelet and I settled for some bread and chocolat chaud (hot chocolate). What I learned about typical french breakfasts is – you can never have too much bread in the morning! My, my! What a surprise it  ...

I finally ticked the City of Lights off my bucketlist last year with my husband, surprisingly on our own with a little help from the internet and Lonely Planet. How did we do it? Well, here’s a simple guide I’ve put together based on experience. Read  ...

MMW Vlog 01: Paris

Hey guys! I recently launched my very own YouTube channel last April 1st so for those of you who haven’t had the chance to view it yet, here it is. I’m currently into travel vlogging and I really look up to those YouTubers who are able to capture their adventures in their own creative ways. So I took it upon myself to push my artistic pursuits further, and in order to do that, why not take my memory-keeping to the next level? It’s been a year since our last Eurotrip and as  ...

Must-try in Paris

PARIS, April 2016 I’m a no filmmaker but I just wanted to share snippets from our Paris trip. Here’s Kent and me in Cafe des 2 Moulins, Amelie Poulain’s sweet little cafe in the heart of Montmartre. And who would have thought, we had Escargot for lunch, a must-try when you’re in the city of Lights. Marian Meets Paris

There’s so much to say about Paris. I mean where do I even start? But I had to admit, ’twas quite a tedious job to prepare for a trip you were dreaming your whole life. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be possible, let alone travel with someone I love. Paris has charmed me with its achingly beautiful corners and exquisite art. From museums to palaces, towers to cafes, bookshops to cathedrals, every bit of it was captivating and just hands-down surreal! I had to  ...
